We've done this in past years, but what are some good quotes specific to this year's resolution for Aff and Neg?

I'll start with 1 for AFF:

Margaret Thatcher - "There can be no liberty unless there is economic liberty"

I forgot the resolution so this goes to whichever side says freedom > Equality (you've probably already encountered it before)

The resolution is actually Freedom and Equity, so this doesn't exactly apply, but thanks for being a TPer willing to help. :P

It's still a great quote. :)

Here's one for Aff:
"The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit.” ~Milton Friedman
(http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/autho ... wBBwWxc.99)

Here's a more general one that could be used for either side:
“There is no such thing as society: there are individual men and women, and there are families.” Margaret Thatcher (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/autho ... EQ4ITcy.99)

Here's another AFF one I like:
“The real minimum wage is zero.” ~Thomas Sowell (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/autho ... ell_2.html)

Hope this helps!

This confused me a little bit, how would you use this as a point? Just didn't know how it related.

If someone tries to argue economics from a purely statistical point of view, you could use this to remind the judge that we are discussing interactions of people, not numbers.
Following that direction, you could use it to bring certain phrases into focus. We don't take money from "the rich" in redistribution; we take it from people and give it to other people.

It doesn't apply perfectly, but it can be used as a segue.
