EDIT: REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED.
The NC National Open is a little over a week away now, and, if you're anything like me, you're probably frantically trying to prepare against as many cases as possible. To accomplish this goal, several teams from RIX are forming a prep group, and we'd love for some of y'all to join us. Each team will receive two cases to write briefs against over the course of the next week. These briefs shall be distributed among all participants in the prep group. The case topics will be selected from the national case list, as well as any suggestions or requests people may have.
A few guidelines for briefs:
-Must be *at least* 5 pages, not including the TOC
-Must include complete citations (e.g. author, credentials, date, publication, url, researcher's initials
-Must include at least one disadvantage
Please only include arguments that you would actually run in round. No one wants a brief filled with lame arguments.
If you are interested in joining us, please PM me or email me at email@example.com
ASAP. Assignments will be sent out this evening. The briefs will be due at Midnight on Monday, January 19th and shall be distributed the following morning to all teams that successfully met the deadline. You are welcome to join late, but understand that you will still be required to submit both briefs by the deadline.
See you in Black Mountain! Participating teams:
