Hey everyone! For the HSD Research Club we're starting a new thing where the club members can debate each other if they want whenever they wish.

Obviously, for this to be done we need judges, and Alumni, coaches, and experienced-debaters are specifically who we are targeting right now! If you are a debate coach or alumni (Or multi-year competitor above the age of 17*) and you are interested, can you post a reply below detailing your availability (Please specify which timezone you are in)? Competitors will pm you if they want you to judge a round. (You can feel free to add your e-mail or any other contact information, but I don't know that you want to or not)

The goal is to get lots of helpful feedback for our competitors so that the research club goes beyond simply helping members find research, but also develop their debating skills!

Right now, I don't know what kind of success this will have and we are keeping it within the HSD research club for now (just another reason to join next year if you can!). We may have lots of rounds going on or we may not have any. It is completely up to the debaters themselves for now.

I'll try to attach a debate ballot template here in the future.

Also, I don't know if it's necessary, but could we maybe get a moderator to "sticky" this post so it stays relevant?

Also, this is a work-in-progress, so if you have suggestions please suggest!

*The age-limit is for the purposes of preventing current NCFCA competitors from judging and unfairly learning privy information concerning HSDRC members' cases. If you are a debater debating this year's resolution, please do not offer to judge.

I can judge. :) I'm a Stoa alumni/coach, so I won't be as familiar with the NCFCA arguments (probably a good thing, in some regards) but I'm totally willing to help out. I'm in college, so my availiblity during the week is rather limited but I can do weekends pretty easily. I live in California, so I'm in PCT.

I can judge. Pretty much anytime between December 13th and January 10th, or after business hours after January 10th.

Probably easiest to shoot me a PM to schedule something.

There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Sure. I'm east coast until the 10th then central for the rest of the semester. Later at night will usually work better but my schedule isn't terribly regular so just pm me.

Sure! I'm in Florida - eastern time zone - and work during the day. Evenings/weekends work best, and would need to be coordinated a day or so in advance.

I can if I'm needed. I'm an alumnus with 4+ years debate experience, I've been a contributor to COG for several years, and I've judged many debate rounds. I'm passionate about research. I'm in VA, so eastern time....if that somehow matters. My availability is inconsistent. Some weeks are better than others. PM me and we can work something out. :)
