Good times. (though to be fair, GWG is still around and lives in my area, even goes to church with me)

Edit: Just read that game again. I'd forgotten how weird it was. :P

Wasn't part of that game Sharky linked to, but you should tell John to come back and visit here! I miss him.

Immma going to throw this out there, but I think it would be kinda cool if we had a rankings thread for individual players. For obvious reasons it wouldn't include every player, but I was thinking like the top 5-10(depending on what eligibility requirements would be). What do ya'll think especially those of you who have been here longer than me and have probably seen similar ideas in the past?

Well we'd do it based on win loss record. So we'd rank the top 5 or so players with the best win loss record in mafia games. It would make things more competitive I think and incentivize it a bit. But Idk whether it is actually a good plan.

Ooh, I like it. So like a thread where we have the top 5 players with clickys with all their wins and losses?

Yeah, I've thought about this--it would just take a rather absurd amount of work to chronicle all-time player performances. A rolling 10 game average would be a more feasible project.

Or, heck, if someone's feeling really ambitious they could make an all-time elo system. (Tagging anorton. :P)

(Side note: I've been meaning to expand the "mafia hall of fame" category in the list of mafia games thread, so if anyone has any ideas for cool metrics...)

Not at all. It was quite fun while it lasted.

my Project Z or whatever it was called might get a dubious honor or two. Tried a bunch of new mechanics, hyped it up with a video; everyone got bored and I just stopped posting updates because I got discouraged.

A ranking system would be kind of cool, but with a time-frame of say, a year? Because ranking all players ever would take an absurd amount of time. So does the top 5-10 players for the last year sound good?

So I couldn't sleep one night last week so I went and compiled a win loss record for all the players(well all the ones that didn't play like just one or two games) that have played in games since I've been playing. So we could do a broader time frame I guess, but it is up to ya'll.

Yes, and you sent me the results. Which is why I suggest we don't do this. Because I don't want you all to feel scared of my perfect record.

(for a certain definition of "perfect")

Let's just say Brett wouldn't be appearing on any top 5 or 10 list for the conceivable future.

That's impressive. Do you happen to have a google doc of the results?

Seconding, I'd like to see these as well. Somehow I doubt I'm high on that list  Nice job.

I just transitioned my pen and paper list to a doc and sent it to the two who requested it if anyone else wants it just pm me and I'll send it to you.

Feel free to edit the doc may be wrong in some spots.(not having individual games listed doesn't help, but I probably missed some neutral wins in some games)

I may do game by game at some point, but I didn't feel quite energetic enough to do that yet and I doubt anyone else wants to.

Older players feel free to adjust your record for games before Haunted House 4, but I see that as more being an individual decision unless me or somebody else gets bored and does something more comprehensive.(if you do so some kind of designation on the doc would be really helpful so we don't double things)

We could do rankings off that list or some way, it is up to ya'll.

Due to popular demand I'll actually post the link in thread with edit capabilities. The list is not sorted in any order.

... Have I really only won one game? Now I'm even more determined to win Multiverse.
