Hey guys, thanks for dropping by. This has been in the works a while. Structure is as follows:

PMC - 1400 words
LOC - 1400 words
MG - 1400 words
MO - 1400 words
LOR - 1000 words
PMR - 1000 words

POIs and POOs will be conducted during the 48 hour turnaround times between each speech, and we'll allow 12 hours after the PMR for POOs. Research time/prep for PMC will be 72 hours.

Judges?

We also need a resolution. The first three judges should decide upon one as soon as possible after their selection. We're good with whatever as long as it stays away from recent NCFCA/Stoa topics.

Thanks! Look forward to seeing how this turns out. :) Feel free to remind me if I forgot anything.

Any of the above. Both Dibbles and I think metaphorical would be pretty awesome too.

How many judges do we need for this? 3?

Also, yes, any of those or metaphorical :) I would enjoy that.

Usually we wait for an odd number, but I'm fine if Drew and Jacob want to frame and announce the resolution while we wait for a third.

A possible way to do this smoothly, if ya'll haven't already, is have Jacob write three options and then have Drew pick from them, or vice-versa.

Works for me, if Jacob and Drew want to start on that go right ahead.

Normally three are announced and then gob strikes one, and then opp strikes one, and the remaining one stays. Jacob and I could pitch ideas to each other and then just choose three.

I'd love to judge. My parli career is awfully limited but I'll be able to follow. ;)

Ok, good :) we have three judges now. Have you guys decided on resolution choices, or are you still deliberating?

I just sent Caleb and Jacob 11 resolutions that I think are pretty cool.

Once we have three that we all agree on, I'll go ahead and post them and we can do the normal policy of two strikes.

Ok, so Drew and I were talking, and I think we've decided on what the resolutions are.

1. (Metaphorical) Resolved: This House should go Trick-or-Treating.
2. (Policy) Resolved: The United States should reform its industrial and corporate regulation policy.
3. (Fact) Resolved: Terrorism has Won.

Gov strike one, Opp strike one, then have at it.

So yeah. I just moved back to Texas today. I'll be starting two summer classes and have three projects due tomorrow, leave for a debate camp in Houston Tuesday around 3AM, and have sourcebook editing/writing to do all week. All of that said, I have no idea when I'll be able to sleep, much less answer POIs, but I'll do my best. :P So since I don't know if I'll be able to post it tomorrow evening, I'll post it now.

Sorry, busy day. Anyway...

Points of Information
Is it true that the US was faced with default this past year?
Was there any significant increase in GDP because of this?
How much do you estimate that GDP will grow by with your plan?
How much will the dollar inflate?
Will this affect foreign direct investment in American businesses?
Is there any certainty that people will invest in Spain and Portugal, enough to keep them from default?
Couldn’t those countries default after the potential investments from Americans?
Are you mandating cutting spending?
Is there a possibility that they will choose to raising taxes instead of cutting spending, or a combination of the two?
