Is it fine to work together on apologetics?

The speech must be an original work, prepared from notes, quotations, and/or verses from the Bible. The
speaker must speak on one of the topics drawn.

It's unclear from the rules, but numerous clubs (in both regions I competed in) worked on Apologetics jointly, with no issue.

The official interpretation of the rules seemed to be that collaborating on research and outline-construction was perfectly fine, so long as each competitor's eventual delivery formed their own unique speech and wasn't just a word-for-word recitation of something someone else wrote. I can't speak on current policy, but I don't imagine it's changed much.

So this isn't technically related to this question.

"Outside sources used must be mentioned in the verbal delivery of the speech"

does this mean quoted?? or just stuff you looked at? /vaguerules
